Members and newsletters

Cookory uses Ghost’s native Members and Portal features. No third-party membership plugin is included.

Enable Members

Open Settings → Membership and enable the features you need. Configure your publication name, newsletter, subscription tiers, and Portal appearance in Ghost Admin.

Portal links

Cookory uses these Ghost Portal links:

• #/portal/signup — visitor signup flow.
• #/portal/account — member account and subscription management.

The homepage newsletter section shows a signup call-to-action to visitors and an account link to signed-in members.

Newsletter section

Use Customize → Homepage → Show newsletter to show or hide the section. The title and subtitle are editable in the same group. Keep the copy specific about what subscribers receive and how often.

Member pages

Use the included Members custom template when you need a dedicated membership-focused page. Ghost Portal remains responsible for authentication, checkout, account details, and subscription management.

Testing

Test signup in a private browser window, confirm the welcome email arrives, sign in, open the account link, and verify that signed-in visitors see account actions rather than signup prompts.
